There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing an old, tired outdoor space transformed into somewhere the whole family can enjoy.
At Brierley Property Services, our latest project in Leyland is a perfect example of how the right materials, thoughtful landscaping and skilled workmanship can completely change the look and feel of a garden.
The Challenge
The original garden had plenty of potential, but the existing surfaces were letting it down. Large areas of ageing tarmac and concrete created a tired, inconsistent appearance, while the layout lacked the character and finish needed to make the most of the available space.
Although established plants and shrubs provided a natural backdrop, the surrounding hard landscaping needed a complete refresh.
The homeowners wanted a cleaner, more practical garden that would be easy to maintain while providing plenty of usable space for the whole family.
The Process
Our team set about transforming the existing outdoor area, introducing a combination of natural materials and carefully considered landscaping features.
Indian stone paving was installed to create a spacious new patio, with a mixture of warm, earthy tones giving the garden a distinctive and attractive finish. The varied colours and textures of the stone complement the surrounding greenery while bringing a more cohesive feel to the space.
Buff Cotswold gravel was incorporated around the garden's edges, providing a neat contrast to the paving and creating a practical, low-maintenance finish.
Timber sleeper beds were used to define the planting areas, introducing structure while retaining the established plants that give the garden its character.
A practical new step was also incorporated into the design, creating a clean transition between levels and completing the overall layout.
Every element was brought together to make the garden feel open, organised and welcoming.
The Results
The finished transformation speaks for itself. What was once a tired outdoor area is now an attractive, functional garden that makes much better use of the available space.
The completed project features:
Indian stone paving creating a spacious patio with natural colour and character.
Buff Cotswold gravel providing a decorative, low-maintenance finish.
Timber sleeper beds defining the planting areas and complementing the existing greenery.
A practical new step creating a neat transition between levels.
A family-friendly layout with plenty of room for outdoor furniture, relaxing and entertaining.
Most importantly, the customer is delighted with the finished result, and it's easy to see why.
This Leyland project demonstrates how quality materials, practical design and attention to detail can completely transform an outdoor space.
