5 Questions With Martyn — Meet the Man Behind the Transformations

To kick off our new “Meet the Team” series, we sat down with Martyn — the face behind much of the work you see — to ask him five quick questions about his background, his team and what drives them forward. 👇

1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN GROUNDWORKING FOR?

I’ve been grafting since I was 16, learning the trade working alongside my dad. He’s been doing this for over 30 years, so it’s safe to say I’ve grown up around building, landscaping and everything in between. 👷‍♂️

2. WHAT ARE THE TEAM’S SPECIALITIES?

We’ve got a proper mix of skills across the team:

• Dad – building, landscaping, internal works

• Me (MB Landscaping) – landscaping, full garden transformations

• Ant – decking and labouring

• Mark – landscaping

• Dan (“Demolition Dan”) – demolition and heavy work

Everyone knows their craft, and together we cover almost anything a customer needs. 💪

3. WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE JOB?

Definitely landscaping. Seeing a space change day by day and watching the full transformation come together — that’s what I enjoy. Every job is different and that variety keeps it exciting. 🌿✨

We’re hands-on from start to finish.

5. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN THE NEW YEAR?

We’ve got building work and extensions already booked in, and our availability for next year is starting to open up. We’re still taking on landscaping jobs too — that’s my passion and always will be. 2025 is looking like a strong year and we’re excited to get stuck in.
